Erm, Today 110mb.com did something evil, they blocked ALL mysql acces to all users on 110mb.com, to get it back you have to pay 9$,
no bloody hell, if you ask me...!

However, I did manage to get a PHPMyAdmin backup of database some days before D.Day. now I am wondering:
Is it possible to use another host and use the mysql backup file on the host. (If it supports Mysql ofcourse)Even It is connected to certain database and username on 110mb.com
??

If you can find some working and free web host with Mysql support that would be goody smile.gif

Thanks

If you want me to explain a little more "clear" "Bring it on"

free host: www.freehostia.com

I take it the mysql is for your forum? Yes you can use another host to have yourforum, just import the .sql backup into your new hosts phpmyadmin.

I dont know much about ipb but there may be a config file in your ipb stuff which would allow you to manually change database information and directory paths relative to your new host and mysql information

You should be able to import it. It might be a hassle as the database will no longer be hosted locally.
I know IPB has a config file you can edit manually to change database settings and paths, you'll find it in the root folder of the forum.

You can use the same details if you like, but you're going to have to mess with your configuration file anyway, so you can call it whatever you like anyway.

I've tried importing a MySQL database onto Freehostia before, and for some reason it wouldn't let me. I can't remember why.
