Help fixing my fucked up panel

I've accidently fucked myself out of easily changing my wireless connection when I was trying to remove some strange graphical corruption that was on my top panel in Ubuntu. Basically, my system decided it didn't like me anymore and removed both my keyring application viewer and battery monitor from the toolbar and I can't find them in the "add to panel" command so I can't see them anymore. Trying to replace my xorg file didn't fix the problem which is currently making me REALLY annoyed.

Anybody got any ideas of how I can fix this cluster of a fuck up?

Edit: Never mind. I've found the answer.

For anybody who's interested you have to add the "Notification Area" utility.

Toshiba throw in the towel

This whole format war between Toshiba and Sony has been really getting on my nerves, mainly because it's detracting from the fact that the PS3 is meant to be a fucking games console, but it finally looks like the "War" is over as Toshiba have called it quits.

Hopefully the market for HD films will finally take off as the presence of two competing formats is just confusing and is one of the reasons HD film sales are still minuscule (though undeniably there are other reasons as well). I don't really give a shit about HD films but this news should put an end to this stupid format war that was financially stupid in the first place, and the ridiculous media coverage it garners on video game news sites.
